The Save Our Venues Campaign
The Situation
The COVID19 epidemic has touched millions of us across the UK and across the World. Unfortunately small independent music venues in the UK (and undoubtedly elsewhere) have been hit especially badly. Our only source of income, live music events, stopped immediately in March. Being a Not For Profit has meant we've been hit particularly hard.
The environment we all love and what makes live music special is also what makes it so difficult to open back up. People celebrating their love of music together, collectively in confined spaces, dancing and singing together. Social distancing simply is not possible in the true sense.

How You Can Help 1
The registered charity Music Venue Trust initiated a campaign Save Our Venues and The Northcourt has its own page for donations and is the ONLY venue in Oxfordshire participating in the campaign. Through the campaign and the generosity of the general public, around 150 of over 550 venues have already been saved.
Sadly despite the kind donations of around 20 of our audience & friends and raising around £430 we are still well short of our target which would have kept the venue and our technical staff going until the end of 2020. Our immediate need is for another £2,500 with that we can keep the venue going until September.

Naturally we know only too well that this is a difficult time for many families where one or other is out of work so we would only encourage you to make a donation if you able to.
